About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee and deliver high-quality maintenance services across our properties. This is a varied role combining leadership, organisation, and practical maintenance responsibilities.
You will manage a small team, control budgets, and ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Alongside managing operations, you will also carry out general maintenance tasks across our Head Office and Complex Needs Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day maintenance operations
- Plan, organise, and delegate work on a weekly basis
- Ensure all maintenance tasks and projects are completed on time and to the required standard
- Create and maintain structured planned maintenance schedules across all properties within the Group
- Manage and monitor the maintenance budget
- Source materials and services in line with operational needs and budget
- Carry out stock checks and manage materials, including stock held in maintenance vehicles
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
Hands-On Duties
- Complete general maintenance of Head Office and the attached Complex Needs Unit, including:
- Gardening
- Window cleaning
- Painting and decorating
- General repairs
- Deliver these duties on a planned and scheduled basis
- Provide maintenance cover during periods of annual leave
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in maintenance management or a supervisory role
- A strong team leader with the ability to organise and prioritise workloads
- Confident managing budgets and resources
- Reliable, hands-on, and solution-focused
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Essential Requirements
- Relevant maintenance or trade qualifications
- Ability to carry out a range of general maintenance tasks independently
- Computer literate, with experience in Microsoft 365, Hubdoc, and reporting tools
- Good knowledge of health & safety practices
