Project Supervisor – Recycling (Facilities & Environment)
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week (Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, with flexibility for earlier/later shifts)
Contract: 30 Week Temporary Contract
Location: 25 Ashley Road, Tottenham Hale, London, N17 9LJ
Pay Rate: PAYE £21.80 per hour
We're recruiting a Project Supervisor to support the Authority (NLWA) in delivering its contamination reduction and recycling education plan. This is a hands-on project management role, ideal for someone organised, proactive, and passionate about sustainability and community engagement.
About the Role
As Project Supervisor, you'll coordinate recycling advisors, manage schedules, and support stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery of recycling and education initiatives. You'll play a key role in tackling the climate emergency by helping residents reduce waste and recycle more.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the development and delivery of NLWA's recycling education plan
- Supervising a team of Recycling Advisors and coordinating daily/weekly schedules
- Gathering, analysing, and reporting data to inform decision-making
- Liaising with internal teams and external partners to meet project milestones
- Designing and delivering resident and stakeholder engagement activities
- Monitoring and evaluating service trials and pilots, reporting on outcomes
- Contributing to wider waste and recycling service improvements
Requirements
We're seeking someone enthusiastic, collaborative, and committed to environmental outcomes. You'll ideally have:
- A-level education or equivalent
- Training in customer service, community engagement, or sustainability
- Experience in project support or coordination, ideally in public service/environmental contexts
- Knowledge of waste management, recycling, or sustainability (desirable)
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in engaging with residents, community groups, and stakeholders
- IT proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, project management tools)
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work varied shifts
