We are a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week breakdown and recovery service that aim to provide an excellent service to our contractors and customers.
We have two positions available within our control room, working 12-hour shifts on a four-on, four-off shift pattern from 10am-10pm. You will be the first contact for drivers, contractors and customers who require assistance and therefore a high degree of customer service ability is required. Due to the company operating 365 days a year service, the role will include some lone working and working during weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities of the role
As a controller, you will be required to manage the dispatch and distribution of drivers and monitor their progress. You will need to answer calls, respond to messages and facilitate the productive and smooth running of the operation. The right candidate should have some experience working in the logistics or a dispatch industry and have transferable skills which will allow them to coordinate and manage the dispatch and distribution of recovery technicians to incoming jobs as well as managing those on active recoveries. Full training in our operating systems will be given upon appointment.
The right candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to multitask in a sometimes-busy environment whilst still delivering excellent customer service to our clients and customers. They should also have a working knowledge of Word and Excel and basic English and Math skills. Good geographical knowledge of the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk areas would also be beneficial in this role.
