Location: Woodhall Farm, Valley Green, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Hours: Part-time – Starting from 20 hours per week
Salary: £31,000 per annum, pro-rata
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Practice Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our practice. As Practice Manager, you will drive operational excellence, foster a positive team culture, and support the delivery of outstanding patient care. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of service and staff development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including care navigators to ensure optimal team performance
- Manage daily practice operations, including appointment scheduling, client communication, and workflow efficiency
- Handle human resources responsibilities including hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives
- Maintain compliance with regulations and health & safety standards
- Support patient relations by ensuring excellent customer service and addressing patient concerns promptly
- Implement policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment and operational consistency
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a management or leadership role within a healthcare setting
- Strong management skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration
- Experience in human resources functions such as recruitment, training, performance management, and conflict resolution
- GP surgery experience or background is highly preferred to understand clinical workflows and industry-specific needs, although experience with strong transferrable skills will be considered
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with staff, clients, and external partners
