About You:
Wrenn School are searching for an IT Technician to join our talented IT team. This is a pivotal role that keeps our school running - ensuring incidents and requests are resolved efficiently while delivering excellent customer service to staff, students and the wider team. You’ll be a proactive, solutions-focused individual with strong technical knowledge across a range of devices and systems, able to prioritise tasks and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users. With a collaborative approach and a commitment to high standards, you’ll play a key role in maintaining reliable IT services, supporting teaching and learning, and contributing positively to the wider Trust.
Our Ideal candidate will have:
- IT Support Experience & Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates recent, hands-on experience delivering effective IT support in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidentiality & Data Protection: Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to data protection principles in all aspects of work.
- Prioritisation & Problem-Solving Under Pressure: Effectively manages workload, prioritises tasks, and resolves issues efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- Analytical Thinking & Technical Insight: Interprets complex information and applies logical thinking to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
- Collaboration & Self-Motivation: Builds strong working relationships while remaining motivated and effective when working independently.
About the IT Department:
Our IT department plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of Wrenn School, ensuring staff and students can rely on robust, responsive and effective technology. The team works collaboratively on-site, providing hands-on support across all areas of the academy, and is backed by a Regional IT Manager and a wider central IT team. Together, they share expertise, escalate complex issues, and drive continuous improvement across systems and services - creating a strong, supportive network that keeps our technology running smoothly and enables high-quality teaching and learning.
About Wrenn School:
Wrenn is a vibrant learning community across two campuses. Our Doddington Road site supports Key Stage 3 students (ages 11–14) with a nurturing transition from primary school, while London Road provides a mature environment for Key Stages 4 and 5 (ages 14–18).
