We are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Technician to join a professional and friendly workshop team based in Motherwell. This is an excellent opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, job security, and a supportive working environment.
This role would suit a skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify potential issues
- Use diagnostic equipment and specialist tools effectively
- Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Order parts and materials as required
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
- Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organised
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Van Technician, or Vehicle Technician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good knowledge of van and light commercial vehicle systems and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Time-served technicians will also be considered
