Semi Senior Accountant
Qualified (AAT/ACCA/ACA) – Horbury
The role
We’re looking for someone who wants to join an accountancy practice where the focus is people first - our goal is to provide a level of client service that no other firm can even come close to.
To help us succeed you’ll need to be super motivated, keen to help improve everything you’re involved in and be on board with a collective team vision.
Day to day work will be covering accounts - and some bookkeeping and payroll as you might expect!
We're in process of integrating AI into bookkeeping and payroll especially, so we'd like someone who can help us manage that process and begin to automate some of the basic processing work.
You’ll get to take ownership of your work and have your own client portfolio, as well as innovating processing using tech and AI.

A bit more detail
For systems we use Xero, QuickBooks & VT Transaction for bookkeeping, Payroll Manager for payroll then Tax Calc for accounts and tax. Ideally you should have a good working knowledge of PAYE, VAT and CIS. The majority of our clients are limited companies so knowledge of corporation tax is helpful too.
You will need to be a strong team player with a high level of attention to detail, comfortable managing your own workload with minimal supervision. Ideally you will have experience in an accountancy practice.
We do allow flexible working - but standard hours are 35 hours per week 9am - 5pm
