As a Practice Development Nurse, you will join a supportive and collaborative Academy team. You will also be encouraged to continue your own professional development, including opportunities at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
We are looking for an experienced community nurse with a commitment to learning, development and high-quality patient care. If you are interested in developing your skills in teaching, supervision and assessment within a supportive environment, we would welcome your application.
The Practice Development Nurse will work within a designated service, collaborating closely with the Academy team and Locality Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate staff development activities.
The post holder will support designated teams to coordinate and embed learning and development opportunities, helping staff develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to undertake their roles effectively.
Working with the Academy team and Locality Manager, the Practice Development Nurse will identify learning needs, plan and deliver training, and evaluate its impact. They will help ensure staff development aligns with, and contributes to, local and national priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Promoting high standards of care through the application and sharing of clinical expertise .
Supporting the creation of a positive learning environment where staff development is encouraged and valued.
Facilitating induction, education and continuing professional development for registered and non-registered nursing staff across community nursing teams.
Working alongside staff within clinical teams to support learning, development and evidence-based practice.
Contributing to the ongoing development of practice and workforce capability across the service.
