Job description:
Hygiene Operative
As part of the hygiene team, you will be responsible for the cleaning of all production work areas, machines and all other required equipment. This role will include the use of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment (full training will be provided).
As a hygiene operative you will remove any waste/product left over from production and wipe and cover all water sensitive equipment to prevent water ingress.
You will dismantle machinery and carry out the deep cleaning of all equipment in accordance with the cleaning instruction cards. At the end of the shift you must ensure that all covers are removed from water sensitive equipment and throughout your shift you need to adhere to good Health & Safety practices.
Key Accountabilities:
- To complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
- To clean areas of the factory as schedule dictates
- Working to tight schedules and deadlines
- To clean all areas of the factory
- This may involve strip down of machinery, training will be given
- Complete health and safety checks
- Ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene in keeping with the company’s hygiene rules
- Carry out any other duties that may be required from time to time
Essential Role Requirements:
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Good communication skills
- A conscientious approach with attention to detail
- Good time management able to work to deadlines
- Lifting and bending under machinery will be required as this is a very active role, must be physically fit
- Good time keeping and attendance
- Flexible and adaptable to learn new skills
- Good team worker
Working Hours:
38.75hrs per week contract.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £15.00 per hour, weekly paid
Schedule:
- 7.45 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Evening/Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Gwynedd: Reliably commute
Experience:
- Food production: 1 year (preferred)
- HACCP trained (preferred)
- Experience in cooking and cooling (preferred)
