Night shift 19:00 -07:00 4 on 4 off rotation
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer with Gatehouse experience to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. Your role will involve , conducting patrols, and enforcing security protocols.
NOTE: this is a 24/7 active site.
Duties:
- The role of the security officer/gateman is to man the gatehouse, open / close the barrier/gates for vehicular access.
- You will be required to record vehicles, visitors and deliveries onto site using our clients movement logs.
- Monitor CCTV system for any intrusion or non-conforming behaviour.
- To be alert at all times and every hour conduct a patrol ensuring the compound, its assets and perimeter security is secured.
- Light Cleaning and out of hours yard duties form part of the job role during your shift.
- To ensure customer shower facilities are suitable and fit for use.
- Report site hazards and maintenance issues to your line manager.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, taking appropriate action as needed, also escalating to senior management when appropriate.
- Complete check calls for sistering sites/colleagues.
- Write detailed incident reports and daily log sheets documenting any security-related incidents or violations immediately post an incident.
- Provide excellent customer service assisting visitors with inquiries or concerns.
Skills:

- Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Excellent observation skills with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of first aid procedures is preferred
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language.
- Reliability and excellent time management is expected.
