Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in security systems, and construction environments. The role involves hands-on training in various aspects of security engineering, including system design, installation, and maintenance of security infrastructure. Candidates will gain practical experience working with a diverse range of equipment and technologies, with the potential for career growth within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of Intruder Alarms, Access Control systems, CCTV, Automatic Gates as well as Fire Alarms.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, install, and repair security hardware on-site
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and system design documents
- Contribute to electrical wiring tasks and mechanical assembly as required
- Aid in conducting system diagnostics and troubleshooting security equipment issues
- Collaborate with senior engineers on construction projects related to security infrastructure
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and assist in preparing technical reports
Requirements
- This is a demanding job so you will need to be physically capable
- A UK driving license is Essential
- You will be required to travel to and from our office in Manston
- Successful applicant will be require to undertake an Enhanced DBS checks
- Rights to work in the UK
- Understanding of basic computer usage essential
- Happy to engage face to face with customers and fellow staff member
Schedule
Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 6pm (4-day working week)
Rota for 24hr callout/standby requirement

Pay: £22,568.00-£30,000.00 per year
