Fable & Wood is a luxury bespoke joinery manufacturer creating exceptional interiors for some of the finest private homes across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey and London.
Working alongside Zafiro Homes, we design, manufacture and install bespoke kitchens, dressing rooms, wardrobes, libraries, studies, media walls, bars, wine rooms and complete joinery packages for high-end residential projects.
We're now looking for an experienced Technical Design & Production Engineer to become a key member of our growing team.
This isn't simply a drawing office role.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges, improving systems and developing better ways of working. As our business grows, you'll play an important part in shaping our technical department, supporting production and helping us build a modern, efficient manufacturing operation.
Your Role
Working closely with our Head of Joinery, you'll take approved designs through to manufacture, ensuring every project is technically accurate, practical to build and ready for production.
You'll help bridge the gap between design, workshop and installation, while continually improving how we deliver bespoke joinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate manufacturing and workshop drawings
- Develop approved designs into production-ready information
- Create material schedules, cutting lists and hardware schedules
- Produce CNC-ready manufacturing information
- Support workshop production with technical guidance
- Carry out site surveys and detailed measurements where required
- Resolve manufacturing challenges and improve technical detailing
- Develop and refine our technical standards, workflows and production systems
- Work closely with the workshop to improve efficiency, consistency and quality
- Help shape the future of our manufacturing processes as the business continues to grow
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Experience within bespoke joinery, cabinetry or fitted furniture manufacturing
- Strong technical detailing skills
- Experience producing manufacturing information for workshop production
- A thorough understanding of joinery construction and manufacturing methods
- Experience with CNC manufacturing workflows
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail
- A genuine interest in improving systems and manufacturing processes
Software Experience
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Cabinet Vision (preferred)
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- SolidWorks
- iMos
- Other specialist joinery software
