Overview
Navitas Solar Installations Ltd is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Solar PV Roofer to support our solar installation teams. You’ll assist with the physical installation of solar panels on rooftops, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mounting and securing solar PV systems on pitched and flat roofs
- Carry and manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site
- Support electricians and installers during system setup and commissioning
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all health & safety protocols and site procedures
Safety Training & Expectations:
We take safety seriously. All team members receive full training and are expected to adhere to strict safety standards, including:
- Working at Height Training: Safe use of ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection systems
- Manual Handling Training: Proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Tool Safety & PPE Use: Training on safe use of hand and power tools, and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Site Inductions: Comprehensive briefings on each site’s specific safety requirements
- Ongoing Safety Refreshers: Regular toolbox talks and updates on best practices
Requirements:
- Solar PV Roofing Experience
- Comfortable working at height and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must hold a valid CSCS card
- Safety certifications (Working at Height, Manual Handling) are a plus — training can be provided
- Strong work ethic and team player attitude
- Full UK driving licence
