Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in welding and fabrication processes. This role involves working with metal, to create high-quality components for our projects. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble Gates & other small bespoke steel items and components according to specifications.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Perform various welding techniques, including stick welding, to join metal parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to welding and fabrication.
- Experience in welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
- Experience using band saws, pillar drills & Hydraulic crops.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Full Driving licence as small local deliveries & collect of goods from time to time.
