We are now looking to appoint a first steps Information advice and guidance advisor to join our friendly progressive and successful team, based in Old Trafford.
The successful candidate will support people with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to overcome the challenges they face. Henshaws believe in a person-centred approach, with Independence and friendship at the heart of what we do to help people find the confidence to go beyond their expectations.
As a new member of the team, you will receive training and support to develop your skills and abilities to deliver and work to Henshaws values.

Key responsibilities will include:
- To provide initial customer needs assessment over the telephone, email, or other digital medium, and will provide impartial information, advice, and guidance to people living with sight loss and their families, and professionals who support people with sight loss.
- You will provide person centered solutions to enable individuals to overcome the emotional, physiological, and practical challenges faced through their sight loss.
- To internally signpost people to Henshaws services, including Henshaws Enablement Team for a more comprehensive personal plan to be developed.
- To uphold Henshaws values of Informed, Sharing, Proactive, Inspiring, Compassionate and Empowering.
Salary: £13.05 per hour/£9500.40 per annum
Hours: 14 hours (over 2/3 days)
Weeks: 52 weeks
Leave: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time):
