This fixed term Consultant Clinical Psychology post sits within the new Regional CAMHS ID Hub and Spoke service, hosted by NHS Lothian providing clinical leadership, specialist expertise and regional coordination to the three spoke areas: NHS Borders, NHS Fife, NHS Lothian (local Spoke) .
The primary purpose is to strengthen local capacity to deliver effective, evidence-based care. This will be achieved through specialist consultation, formulation support, and targeted assessment or intervention advice, enabling local teams to implement best practice approaches. The pathway will interface with specialist and mainstream CAMHS, under 18s ID services, Community Paediatrics, Neurology, Community ID teams, Educational Psychology, Schools, Social Work, and third-sector partners.
The Multidisciplinary team Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy (SLT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Assistant Psychology and Administration will deliver specialist assessment/consultation and regional coordination to each Board according to need. There will be close liaison with each Board’s CAMHS ID Link Clinicians (senior clinical point of contact).

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
