Overview
We are looking for a Senior Sales Executive to generate new business and manage existing customer accounts within a defined area, whilst supporting the wider sales team and contributing to regional business objectives.
This position is full time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and permanent.
Roles and Responsibilities

Generate new and manage existing business within a defined area

Identify and target new accounts in line with company objectives and KPIs

Maintain and develop existing accounts in line with KPIs

Manage key accounts within the region

Respond to all customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner

Effectively manage the customer database
-
Complete all trip reports in line with company standards
-
Plan customer calls and trips effectively in line with regional strategy and available resources

Work effectively with the sales support team
-
Ensure all orders are processed through the sales support team

Work with credit control and invoice teams to resolve queries and issues

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

Support Sales Executives in their role and development

Provide support to the Regional Business Manager when required

Represent the company at relevant trade organisations and associations

Identify mutually beneficial marketing opportunities
-
Analyse markets to identify new sales opportunities
-
Identify and attend targeted hospitality events
-
Undertake any other duties required to support the achievement of company objectives
Essential
-
Proven experience in timber products sales
-
Proactive and strategic approach to sales

Valid UK driving licence

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions

Strong organisational and time management skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative

Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
