Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sports / Activity Coach to join our team in Amesbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging sports and activity programmes tailored to a diverse range of participants. Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver a variety of sports activities and programmes suitable for different age groups and abilities.
- Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to participants, ensuring safety and enjoyment at all times.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development.
- Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills and confidence.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, safe, and ready for use before each session.
- Promote participation by engaging with community groups, schools, and local organisations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and programme outcomes.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations during all activities to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved.
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching or activity leadership.
- Strong teaching abilities with the capacity to motivate and engage participants of varying ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear instructions and positive encouragement.
- Organised with the ability to plan sessions effectively while adapting to unforeseen circumstances.
- Passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity within the community.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of health & safety standards relevant to sports coaching is desirable but not essential.
