Candidates must be a member of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and be registered with SSSC or be willing to do so on request.

Early Years Practitioner - We are looking for a Qualified, motivated, caring and nurturing Early Years Practitioner to join our busy team. Applicants should be fully qualified with a minimum SCVQ level 7 or HNC in Early Education & Childcare and will be able to contribute to the planning, plan meaningful experiences, record observations and document children’s learning journey throughout the centre, and will also have a good knowledge of – Health & Social Care Standards/ Realising the Ambition/ Quality Improvement Framework for Early Learning and Childcare. You will be able to maintain a safe, clean, stimulating environment and build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues as well as working collaboratively as part of a team to uphold high standards of care.
30 Hour Minimum Contract
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development
- Supervise and monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily schedules and activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
- Assist in the organisation of nursery events and outings, including driving when necessary
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative
- Childcare qualifications such as SCVQ Level 7 or HNC in Early learning & Childcare or equivalent are required
- Must be registered with SSSC and be a member of protection of vulnerable Groups (PVG) or be willing to do so on request.

- Commitment to safeguarding standards and promoting inclusive practice
