Overview
We are seeking a dedicated CSCS Groundworker to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various groundworks and site preparation tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. Duties
- Assisting with excavation, trenching, and groundwork activities in accordance with project specifications
- Operating basic site machinery and tools safely and effectively
- Preparing sites by clearing debris, setting out materials, and ensuring the work area is safe and organised
- Assisting with the installation of drainage, kerbing, and other ground-related structures
- Supporting the team in maintaining health and safety protocols throughout all operations
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation and company policies
- Collaborating with other trades and team members to meet project deadlines
Experience
- Valid CSCS card is mandatory; previous experience in groundworks or construction preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks over extended periods
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different site environments
