The Boathouse Café is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re looking for an ambitious, creative, and hands-on Head Chef to lead our kitchen and take the business to the next level.
Set in a stunning lakeside location, The Boathouse Café has built a reputation for great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are now seeking a passionate culinary leader who can elevate our food offering, develop the team, and help establish the café as one of Lincolnshire’s must-visit dining destinations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all kitchen operations and maintain exceptional food quality standards
- Create and deliver seasonal menus using fresh, quality ingredients
- Introduce exciting new dishes while maintaining customer favourites
- Recruit, train, motivate, and develop the kitchen team
- Manage stock control, ordering, food costs, and supplier relationships
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Drive consistency, efficiency, and profitability within the kitchen
- Work closely with management to grow the café’s reputation and customer base
- Support special events, catering opportunities, and new business initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or experienced Sous Chef ready to progress
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Passion for fresh food and delivering quality dishes
- Good commercial awareness and kitchen management experience
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a busy, customer-focused environment
- Food Hygiene qualification preferred
