Estarli is a UK manufacturer of premium electric bikes. From our headquarters in Berkhamsted, we design, assemble and support innovative electric bikes that are sold directly to customers and through a growing network of authorised retailers across the UK.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Bicycle Service & Repair Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting both our customers and our retailer network while helping us maintain the high standards of quality and service that Estarli is known for.
The Role
You'll be responsible for servicing, repairing and diagnosing Estarli electric bikes, ensuring every bike leaving our workshop meets the highest standards. This is a varied role combining hands-on workshop repairs with technical support for our customer service team, authorised retailers and service partners.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll help manage the workshop, improve technical processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on Estarli electric bikes.
- Carry out routine servicing, warranty repairs and safety inspections.
- Prepare repaired and refurbished bikes to the highest standard.
- Test ride bikes where appropriate to verify repairs.
- Accurately record repairs, faults and parts used.
- Provide technical support to customers by phone and email when required.
- Support authorised retailers and service centres with technical troubleshooting and warranty enquiries.
- Assist the Customer Service team with technical advice and fault diagnosis.
- Help develop technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and service procedures.
- Identify recurring issues and feed improvements back to the Operations and Product teams.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Manage workshop tools, spare parts and consumables.
- Support quality control and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in producing high-quality work and can work independently while collaborating closely with the wider team.
You'll have:
- Experience servicing and repairing bicycles, ideally including electric bikes.
- Excellent mechanical and fault-finding skills.
- A logical and methodical approach to diagnosing problems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise work and manage multiple repairs efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers and retailers.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work.
- Good computer skills and confidence using workshop or service management systems.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working with electric bike systems.
- Knowledge of Shimano, SRAM, Enviolo, Gates or similar bicycle components.
- Experience carrying out electrical diagnostics and firmware updates.
- Cytech or equivalent cycle mechanic qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.

Pay: £26,129.44-£30,000.00 per year
