POSITION: Duty Manager
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Casual bar staff
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week including late night & weekend work
This is not intended to be an exhaustive or definitive list, you may be required to carry out other duties as reasonably required from time to time and similarly some duties may fall out of your role.
Accountability
1. The Duty Manager is the third senior member of staff of the Bar and Catering department and reports directly to the Operations Manager.
2. The Duty Manager will have full discretion in the exercising of their responsibilities as detailed below but would be expected to escalate all issues quickly and efficiently to the Operations Manager where necessary.
3. The Duty Manager will take instructions from the Assistant Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
The Duty Manager will be required to exercise the following duties:
1. To assist the Operations Manager in the day to day management of the bar staff and running of the Members and function bar
3. Assist the Operations Manager with cellar management and line cleaning
6. To implement any ad hoc directives from the General Manager from time to time as required.
7. To maintain and enhance the reputation of the Bar and Catering Department and provide the best possible customer service to Members and visitors.
8. Responsible for the delivery of outside functions and members events as and when required.
9. To assist with the compliance of all health and safety and food safety requirements for the Bar and Catering department
10. Advising the Operations Manager of any customer complaints in a timely manner
Financial Accounting
1. Adhere to the procedures for cash handling and till transactions for the bar and catering department.
HR
1. To set a good example for the staff with regard to punctuality, attendance, attitude and hygiene.
2. To maintain the required standards of operational hygiene according to the cleaning rotas at all times.
Health and safety & Security
1. Ensure the bar and clubhouse is opened and closed in accordance with the club’s licensing hours.
2. To promote and practice relevant health and safety and fire safety standards.
3. Ensure that the bar equipment is maintained in good working order and is regularly cleaned.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
