Ryans Solicitors is expanding its Business Energy Litigation Department and is seeking experienced Litigation Executives, Paralegals and Fee Earners to manage a growing caseload of business energy commission and mis-selling claims.
The successful candidate will handle matters from initial investigation through to settlement and, where required, litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of business energy claims.
- Reviewing energy contracts, broker agreements and commission arrangements.
- Assessing claim merits and prospects of success.
- Drafting Letters of Claim and pre-action correspondence.
- Reviewing disclosure and documentary evidence.
- Preparing witness statements and supporting evidence.
- Liaising with clients, brokers, suppliers and third parties.
- Progressing claims through negotiation, ADR and litigation.
- Assisting with the preparation and issuing of court proceedings.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant protocols and procedural rules.
- Updating case management systems and ensuring accurate file records.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience handling Business Energy Claims, Financial Mis-selling Claims or Commercial Litigation matters.
- Strong understanding of pre-action procedures.
- Experience drafting Letters of Claim.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
