The Club has invested a significant amount into redesigning and refurbishing the Bar and Function areas and are looking to utilise these facilities to the maximum. As such, the successful candidate will have an innovative and enthusiastic outlook, along with a commitment to providing excellent service to both Members and visitors using the facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hospitality:
* Set service standards in the clubhouse delivering a friendly, courteous and pro-active bar service to all Club Members and guests.
* Monitor and uphold service standards to ensure that they are always met.
* Manage and welcome societies and other visitors, making sure that they are aware of arrangements made for them and of the Club’s dress rules and etiquette.
* Proactively liaise with event organisers to determine finer details (ie final numbers, dietary requirements).
* Regularly review processes and procedures to ensure continual service improvement.
Staff Management:
* Manage the clubhouse food & beverage staff (permanent and/or temporary), including staffing levels, recruitment, training, performance, discipline and annual reviews.
* Work closely with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff in relation to all Club or society/corporate functions to ensure delivery of exceptional service and food offering in all areas.
* Ensure that all functions have adequate provision of tables and chairs and to set out the rooms accordingly.
Cellar and Bar
* Manage the cellar and maintain bar stocks with timely delivery and ensuring that stocks are available for inspection by the contracted stock taker on a monthly basis.
* Ensure regular line cleaning is undertaken to uphold the quality of the drinks provided.
Health and Safety
* Create and maintain an active action plan to ensure compliance with H&S requirements.
* Ensure the Club’s Health and Safety at Work policies and procedures are followed in the clubhouse.
* Perform weekly and monthly health and safety inspections on the clubhouse and bar to check compliance and identify/remedy issues needing attention.
Suppliers
* Manage the drinks and snack suppliers to ensure both the Club and the suppliers meet their obligations and that agreed service levels are maintained.
* Recommend changes to service levels and/or suppliers where product/performance is unsatisfactory and/or a better value supplier can be identified.
House Maintenance
* Monitor that the cleaning contractors maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Club premises and where standards are not met, report to Club Manager.
* Ensure that the rear of the clubhouse, including external beer standing area, dustbins and recycle bins are kept in a clean and tidy condition throughout the day.
* Ensure satisfactory arrangements for the Club’s laundry requirements.
* Maintain strict security of the clubhouse, including its daily opening and closing times laid down by the Committee.
* Carry out regular inspections of the clubhouse fixtures, fittings and equipment, furnishings and fabrics and report any matters arising to the Club Manager.
* Carry out regular inspections of the clubhouse surrounds, car parks and all outdoor lighting and report any matters arising to the General Manager.
* Schedule and oversee urgent repairs, identifying suppliers and seeking approval for the works via the Club Manager as required.
Meetings and Events
* Support the Club Manager, catering and office staff along with and Committee in organising meetings and events in the clubhouse where bar and catering services are required.
* Ensure that all event costs are correctly charged as per the internal planner and liaise with the Administration Office should there be any discrepancies or queries.
Pay: £29,000.00-£32,240.00 per year
