Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bench Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality timber components and joinery products, primarily working on bespoke projects and custom fittings. We work in the residential and marine sectors, on grade listed buildings and classic yachts as well as bespoke furniture, cabinets etc. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for bespoke joinery and craftsmanship to develop their skills within a professional environment. An ability to evaluate and price jobs is a very useful requirement.
Duties
- Fabricate timber components according to detailed drawings and specifications
- Assemble joinery pieces with accuracy, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship
- Operating machine tools, saws, planers, thicknessers etc
- Conduct joinery tasks involving precise cutting, fitting, and finishing of woodwork
- Assist with the installation of timber elements on-site when required
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Visit site to measure jobs and provide customer estimates
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication and assembly roles
- Strong knowledge of joinery techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to undertake occasional physically demanding tasks
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality control
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in joinery are desirable but not mandatory
- A commitment to safety standards and continuous professional development
