The Perth and Kinross Occupational Therapy Service has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the North Perthshire locality. The base for this post is within Blairgowrie Community Hospital. This post will enhance the multidisciplinary team to deliver inpatient and community rehabilitation and support the development of new models of care with an integrated approach.
The team are looking for Occupational Therapists who are motivated to be part of developing an innovative and forward-looking service and will promote the value of Occupational Therapy, providing high-quality assessment and rehabilitation. The successful candidate will have relevant experience working as an Occupational Therapist within physical rehabilitation, an understanding of the principles of health and social care integration and have the skills to support the team to progress service development. They will be passionate about providing excellent person-centred treatment and care, and value honest and open communication.
Perth and Kinross Occupational Therapy Service provides excellent formal and informal supervision, actively supports individual development through performance development review and learning plans, provide a framework for encouraging CPD and promotes innovative practice.
In line with the evidence base and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health Professions, will be moving towards 7 days working. This is for improved outcomes and to maximise a person-centred equitable approach to care. Therefore, all new contracts for AHP staff will be for a 5 out of 7-day service/rota to enable the service to be ready to move to a safe and effective 7-day service.

Hours of Work: Two part-time posts are available: one at 18 hours per week and one at 34 hours per week.
