Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Children's Manager to oversee the care and well-being of children within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in COMPLEX BEHAVIOUAL CHILDRENS CARE , with a focus on providing high-quality support to children with various needs. This role requires excellent management skills, as well as the ability to create and implement effective care plans tailored to each child's requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the children's care home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Develop and implement individual care plans that address the specific needs of each child.
- Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care, including medication administration and adherence to care protocols.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies involved in their care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of practice within the facility.
- Provide training and support for staff on best practices in child care, including dementia care when applicable.
- Create weekly report for the Authority
Skills
- Strong experience in COMPLEX CHILDRENS CARE is essential
- Proven ability to manage a team effectively while promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and the ability to oversee these processes safely.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- A background in proven record in childrens psychology is desirable
- Applicant prefer to hold a NVQ Level 3/ Level 5
