Plus Packaging is one of the UK's leading independent packaging distributors, delivering thousands of products to businesses across the North West and beyond. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable, hard-working Multi-Drop Van Driver to join our delivery team.
This is not a job for someone looking to spend the day driving between one or two deliveries. We're looking for experienced multi-drop drivers who enjoy working at pace, take pride in delivering excellent customer service and are happy with the physical nature of the role.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering customer orders across the North West and surrounding areas using one of our curtain-sided vans.
No two days are the same. Delivery routes, locations and drop numbers vary each day depending on customer demand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely delivering customer orders on time.
- Loading and unloading your vehicle.
- Handballing products into customer premises where required.
- Using pallet trucks and working alongside customers' FLT operators where pallet deliveries are unloaded.
- Using a handheld delivery device to manage your route, delivery sequence, customer information, timeslots, electronic signatures and proof of delivery photographs.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Representing Plus Packaging professionally at every customer site.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in drivers who have experience in fast-paced multi-drop environments, such as parcel delivery, courier services or similar operations where completing a high number of deliveries each day is the norm.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a multi-drop van driver.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Excellent time management and route awareness.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves regular manual handling.
- Confidence using handheld technology.
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner with customers.
- A team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
