About Us
Firstcall Transport Ltd is a Bolton‑based same‑day delivery company, providing urgent, time‑critical transport solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a reliable and professional 7.5‑tonne driver to join our team.
The Role
You will be completing same‑day nationwide deliveries, typically 2–3 drops per day, ensuring goods are transported safely, securely and on time.
The role involves driving curtain-sided vehicles and will suit drivers wanting to work Monday to Friday with a varying start and finish times
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out same‑day deliveries across the UK
- Ensure all loads are strapped, secured and safe before departure
- Complete accurate collection and delivery paperwork
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Provide professional communication with customers and the office team
- Handle goods safely — some handball required, especially for furniture customers
- Maintain excellent punctuality and time‑management
- Embrace variety and flexibility
You will need to:
· Carry out daily defect checks to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
· Work within current driver regulations
· Liaise with Office staff to advise them of any issues
· Be a team player
· Embrace variety and flexibility
We will provide the vehicle, fuel cards, PPE & on-the-road training.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay is £13 per hour.
- 50 hours per week Average £700 PW
- Night out Bonus £25 per night
- 20 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Nights out 1 -2 per week
Experience:
- HGV Driving: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driver CPC (required)
- HGV Licence (required)
