We are seeking a proactive and organised Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Administrator to join our team based in Exeter. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of health, safety, environmental, and compliance activities across our business.
Whilst the role is primarily based at our Exeter site, there will be an expectation to travel to our other three locations as required to support audits, training, compliance activities, and HSE initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate health, safety, and environmental records, databases, and documentation.
- Support the administration of risk assessments, safe systems of work, inspections, and audits.
- Coordinate and monitor employee training records and certification renewals.
- Record and track accidents, incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
- Produce regular reports and KPI data for management review.
- Support the management of environmental compliance records and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with contractor approvals and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate site inspections and ensure actions are tracked to completion.
- Support the organisation and administration of HSE meetings and communications.
- Travel to other company sites when required to provide administrative and compliance support.
- Ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with company procedures and legislative requirements.
About You
You will be a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work across multiple sites and departments.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between company sites as required.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience within a health and safety, environmental, compliance, manufacturing, engineering, or facilities environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Experience maintaining compliance records and management systems.
- IOSH Working Safely, IOSH Managing Safely, or similar HSE qualification.
- Experience using HSE or document management software.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
