Churchside Medical Practice are a GP surgery based in the heart of Mansfield where we have been serving our patients for over 20 years and care for nearly 7,000 patients. We are a small cohesive team, with a great work ethic.
We are looking for an experienced Lead Practice Nurse to join our team working 37.5 hours per week. Hours can be condensed into 4 days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), or worked over 5 days. Wednesday will be a later finish as we provide Enhanced Access opening hours for patients, and start time each day will be 7.30am.
We would also split this role into 2 part time positions and consider recruiting 2 experienced Practice Nurses.
As an experienced Lead Practice Nurse at Churchside you will play a vital role in providing high quality care to our patients. You should be friendly, patient focussed, calm and organised, as well as someone who communicates well with people at all levels. We are seeking someone who provides compassionate care and has attention to detail. Ideally you will have experience working with SystmOne, but full training can be provided.
Your clinical capabilities should demonstrate that you are someone who can confidently deal with the following patient needs;
1) Monitor Patient Vital Signs and record medical information accurately
2) Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
3) Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care
4) Cytology
5) Baby Immunisations
6) Administer vaccines and medications as needed
7) Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes, COPD, Asthma)
8) Educate Patients on health management and lifestyle choices
9) HRT Reviews
10) Woundcare and supporting the HCA's with these
11) Phlebotomy
12) Dealing with Samples
13) Infection Control Lead
14) Ordering of clinical stock items
15) Fridge and Stock Rotations
As we are ideally looking for a Lead, previous experience in this capacity would be advantageous.
We require applicants who have experience working as a Practice Nurse in a GP setting as we do not have the capacity at this time to train someone.
