Painter & Decorator - School Maintenance
Location: Sunderland & Gateshead
Duration: Minimum 6 weeks, with potential for ongoing work
Rate: £22 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for experienced Painters & Decorators to carry out maintenance and refurbishment works across schools in Sunderland and Gateshead.
This is initially a minimum 6-week contract, with the potential for ongoing work for the right candidates.
Duties
- Internal and external painting and decorating
- Preparation of surfaces
- Filling, sanding and priming
- Applying paint to walls, ceilings, doors and other areas
- General maintenance and redecoration works
- Working around an operational school environment
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Requirements
- CSCS card - essential
- Previous commercial or school painting experience
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Own tools
- Own transport
- Manual Handling
- Working at Heights
- Asbestos Awareness
- Reliable and professional approach
