Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Drivers Mate/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves assisting with the delivery & collection of primarily confidential waste paper, handling warehouse duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of materials movement within our facilities. The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting logistics and warehouse management, contributing to efficient operations. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate warehouse equipment safely.
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from vans & lorries using appropriate handling techniques.
- Support the delivery process by helping to secure loads and ensure safe transportation of goods.
- Handling materials within the warehouse, including moving material to designated areas.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during all activities, including heavy lifting and materials handling.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
