We are looking for a Supervisor to help run our friendly, hard-working shop team here in the beautiful Cheddar Gorge.
Responsibilities will include organising staff daily routines including retail displays, pricing and cleaning, overseeing the cheese tasting bars, tills and sales in general. To plan, prepare and lead daily tasks to ensure work efficiency.
We have visitors from all over the world who come to watch us make our unique cheese and of course taste it! Your role will include welcoming visitors to both our shop and our Visitor Centre.
Representing the company, our quality brand and our unique cheese, you will be an ambassador for us! We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, confident and proactive. Additionally you will be on hand to explain and exchange information and knowledge about our cheese – how it’s made and why it is so different from other everyday cheddars.
Proactive selling and a helpful, positive nature are key qualities for this job.
Retail experience will be an advantage but full training will be given.

Our Shop opening times are 10:30 to 5:00 (from 19/08/2026), opening and closing times change depending on the time of year. We are a 7 days a week company.
Clean Driver License Required
Days and Hours: 4 days a week including 1 in 3 weekends. Roughly 6 ½ to 7hours a day.
