Funeral Operative
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Funeral Operative to join our dedicated team. This is a vital role supporting families at some of the most important moments of their lives, requiring sensitivity, respect, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out the dignified transfer of the deceased from place of death to our care
- Act as a pallbearer and support funeral services with professionalism and care
- Assist with the preparation of coffins and chapel of rest duties
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of vehicles and premises
- Provide respectful support to families and colleagues at all times
Requirements:
- Full, clean driving licence (essential)
- Ability to participate in an on-call rota, including evenings, weekends, and out-of-hours work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A calm, compassionate, and respectful approach
- Smart appearance and high level of professionalism
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

The ideal candidate will be dependable, discreet, and able to handle sensitive situations with empathy and care. Flexibility is essential due to the nature of the role.

- Full training will be provided
