Exciting new position for an enthusiastic time served candidate required to join our friendly team of engineers. We require someone with a keen eye and skills for good workmanship as we pride ourselves in high standards of work. The work is hugely varied so we need someone who can think on there feet and overcome problems using their previous experience and skills.
We also offer the opportunity to grow within the position if you feel you would like to develop your role to foreman or estimator for example. We have a machine shop, ferrous and non-ferrous fab shops, fitting shop and a site team so you get to see a great range of engineering activities.
Working Hours 7-5 Mon-Thurs or Tues-Friday
Responsibilities will include (but aren’t limited to);
- Working from engineering drawings and sketches.
- TIG / MIG / MMA (Stainless, Ally and Mild)
- Sheet Metal and Frame Fabrication essential.
- Mainly Workshop and some site work.
- Overtime required when work demands.
- Quality inspecting of your own work and others.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- 2+ years’ experience of welding and fabrication.
- A good work ethic and good attention to detail.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and work overtime as required.
- Comfortable and competent working alone as well as part of a team.
All interviewees will be expected to undertake a weld test at the interview stage.
