Overview
The Chef role is a key member of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality dishes in a consistent and efficient manner. Working closely with the Kitchen Manager during busy service periods, the chef will also be confident in managing kitchen operations independently in the Kitchen Managers absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard for restaurant service.
- Work alongside the Kitchen Manager, providing support and assistance as required.
- Set up and maintain workstations, ensuring food items are fully stocked and prepared throughout service.
- Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards consistently.
- Assist with food preparation for events, functions, and daily restaurant operations.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service, appropriate pacing, and accommodation of special dietary requirements, allergies, and food intolerances.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food, supplies, and kitchen equipment.
- Support the training and supervision of kitchen assistants and other junior team members.
- Assist in maintaining an organised, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
