Join a well-established plant nutrient manufacturer supplying the commercial horticulture and garden centre markets. We are looking for a practical, organised and reliable Despatch Team Leader to help run our busy despatch operation and ensure customer orders are picked, packed and shipped accurately, safely and on time.
About the role
You will lead and support the Despatch Team day to day, allocate work, monitor workloads, oversee picking and packing, coordinate vehicle loading and courier collections, and work closely with other departments to keep operations running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
· Lead, motivate and support the Despatch Team.
· Ensure orders are picked, packed and shipped accurately and on time.
· Promote high standards of Health & Safety, housekeeping and accuracy.
· Support training, resolve day-to-day issues
What we’re looking for
· Previous warehouse or despatch experience.
· Team leading or supervisory experience preferred.
· Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and lead by example.
· Forklift licence desirable; good Health & Safety awareness essential.
