A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to support a kind, thoughtful and caring 16-year-old girl. She has a diagnosis of autism and anxiety, and is seeking a supportive, reliable individual to provide 1:1 assistance for 2 hours each week.
This role focuses on building a positive and trusting relationship, supporting her to access the community, and engaging in enjoyable, structured activities. The support provided will also offer valuable respite for her family.
Key Responsibilities

About Me
I enjoy being out and about and spending time with animals, especially my pet dog. I prefer quieter environments, as busy places can feel overwhelming. I benefit from calm, patient support to help manage anxiety and transitions.
Personal Specification
Essential:
- Strong communication skills
- Calm, patient and consistent approach
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Ability to build trust and rapport
Desirable:
- Experience supporting children or young people with autism or additional needs
- A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with business car insurance, is preferred for accessing community activities
Summary Terms and Conditions
- The rate of pay for this position is £13.00 per hour
- Hours and times of work as follows: 2 hours per week - Saturdays
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.
The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
