Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Plasterer to provide high-quality plastering services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out plastering work, including plastering, rendering, and dry lining, to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Plastering Services: Carry out plastering work, including plastering, rendering, and dry lining, to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
Work Quality: Ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard, in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Safety Procedures: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a team to ensure that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: SVQ Level 3 Plastering or equivalent
Certification: CSCS card or ability to obtain one
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a plasterer in a maintenance or construction environment.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of traditional plastering techniques
- An understanding of modern plastering materials, including gypsum-based plasters and specialised finishes
- Familiarity with building regulations and building standards
- Knowledge of Health & Safety
- Familiarity and knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to diagnose and repair defects in plastering, including cracks, uneven surfaces and water damage
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of plastering techniques and materials
- Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment
- Be able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
Technology:
- Be comfortable with smartphones/tablets for accessing work schedules and communication tools.
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery and their safety features
