We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our financial operations and help ensure the smooth running of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems.
- Processing sales and purchase invoices.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Processing payroll and maintaining payroll records.
- Monitoring cash flow and assisting with budgeting.
- Preparing financial reports for management.
- Liaising with accountants and external stakeholders as required.
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Strong understanding of VAT, payroll, and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- AAT qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
