Crosby Community Hub is looking for friendly, dependable volunteers to help support the day-to-day running of our Hub, which provides activities for disabled adults. We have flexible part-time and full-time volunteer opportunities available for people who enjoy working with others and making a positive difference.
As a Volunteer Support Worker, you'll help ensure our beneficiaries feel welcomed, supported, and included throughout their time at the Hub.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming and assisting beneficiaries during Hub activities.
- Providing support to staff throughout the day, including during lunch and refreshment breaks.
- Preparing and serving hot drinks such as tea and coffee.
- Keeping an eye on beneficiaries' wellbeing and informing staff promptly if you notice any concerns or incidents.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking volunteers who are:
- Caring, approachable, and reliable.
- Good communicators with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.
Important Information
- All applicants will be subject to a DBS check.
- This is a voluntary (unpaid) position.
- Reasonable travel expenses, including bus fares and mileage, can be reimbursed.
- The Hub is open Monday to Friday, from 10:00am to 3:00pm, with flexible volunteering patterns available.
