Purpose
- The supply teamwork within a highly collaborative and integrated Alliance environment, they are commercially responsible on any work package or contract assigned to them, for all pre and post contract commercial issues relating to a contract on the SZC project.
- The Supply chain specialist promote the SZC Project, its values and behaviours, and ensure that SZC Project requirements are met and successfully delivered.
- You will be working closely and pro-actively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. This includes working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a technically complex Programme.
Accountabilities
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the acquisition plan for MEH services and equipment
- Regular & pro-active liaison & support to SZC and MEH customers and stakeholders
- Development and execution of procurement strategies
- Leading the ITT (Invitation to Tender) process for a wide variety of services and equipment
- Developing long-term Contracting strategies
- Maintain market understanding & due diligence
- To develop, implement and maintain appropriate performance measures for the contracts
- Devise and implement appropriate supplier development strategies
- Devise and implement supplier quality improvement programmes, cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives with the supply chain
- Work closely with the other Supply Chain teams to set and drive metric performance measures with suppliers for continuous performance monitoring.
- Develop strategies that incentivise suppliers to deliver performance objectives.
- To understand and mitigate supply market risks.
- Accountable to the MEH Supply Chain Manager for delivery of business plan targets
- Ensure stakeholders are kept informed of any change in market conditions within your area of responsibility
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience
- A degree and or experience leading to a relevant professional qualification
- Experience within a supply chain or Procurement role
- Ability to promote effective teamwork by personally acting as a mentor & role model
- Detailed working knowledge of the Procurement and Contract Management
- Ability to communicate and network at all levels
