We are looking for a Finance Assistant (Stock Management) to join our Finance team in our fast paced manufacturing environment in Driffield. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of factory inventory, consumables, and overhead costs while supporting wider finance operations.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Finance Assistant, you'll be responsible for:
- Processing all factory stock invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Reconciling the BITs inventory system to Sage 50.
- Maintaining accurate stock records through delivery note and proof of delivery tracking.
- Reconciling stock balances to the balance sheet.
- Preparing stock and consumables journals for project allocations.
- Managing consumables accounting, reconciliations, and project cost allocations.
- Raising and posting purchase orders for factory overheads.
- Processing overhead invoices and completing reconciliations within EQUE2.
- Monitoring factory maintenance expenditure and ensuring costs remain within budget.
- Reconciling supplier statements relating to stock and consumables.
- Supporting month-end close activities and preparing financial workings for review.
- Assisting with CAPEX reconciliations and other finance administration activities as required.
Key Projects You'll Support
- Delivering a full factory stock reconciliation process.
- Implementing and managing monthly stock takes.
- Monitoring and controlling the factory maintenance budget.
- Supporting the business through the transition to a new integrated ERP system.
- Assisting with year-end stock take and reconciliation activities.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience within a finance, accounts, or administration role
- Experience or ability working to deadlines, particularly around month-end activities.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including lookups, pivots, and data reconciliation.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with both finance and operational teams.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, stock, or inventory-based environment is highly desirable.
- Graduates with relevant studies and a genuine interest in finance are encouraged to apply
