This is a part time role Primarily working Friday, Saturday & Sunday with the occasional Weekday for event cover.
You will report to the Gurt Wings HQ in Swindon at 10pm working until 5am. You will be required to clean and load the food trucks for the day ahead, prepping food and sauces, Working off of a set criteria with our Night shift crew.
As supervisor you will be expected to:
- Ensure the full close-down and clean of all trucks is completed within the scheduled shift time.
- Minimise the need for overtime through effective time management and team coordination.
- Ensure all night shift team members are fit to work before the start of each shift.
- Monitor health and safety adherence during all shift activities.
- Report any injuries, hazards, or incidents to Operations immediately.
- Ensure safe food handling, storage, and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
- Work closely with Kitchen Management to:
- Monitor stock levels on the trucks during the night shift.
- Report low or out-of-stock items in advance.
- Ensure all necessary restocking is completed accurately before trucks are dispatched the next day.
- Check the work of all night shift team members throughout the shift to ensure all tasks meet company standards.
- Ensure all trucks are:
- Deep cleaned and sanitised to standard.
- Fully restocked and operational.
This is very much a Hands on Supervisory role and you will be expected to complete the same work as the rest of the team.
Normal responsibilities:
- Cleaning the food truck to a very high standard and ensuring it is fully loaded before it leaves for the day.
- Ensure that all food safety guidelines and regulations are followed to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the food truck, including kitchen equipment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the catering or restaurant industry is preferred but not a necessity as full training can be given.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 20kg whilst ensuring manual handling regulations are followed.
