Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Tanning Salon Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting clients with their tanning needs, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and an interest in beauty, skincare and tanning. Prior experience in the tanning industry or customer service is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the tanning industry while working in a vibrant and supportive setting.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Assist customers with selecting appropriate tanning services and products in person and over the telephone
- Operate tanning equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols
- Provide advice on products and session lengths
- Maintain cleanliness of the salon, including equipment, treatment areas, and communal spaces
- Manage appointment bookings and handle customer enquiries via phone or in person
- Promote additional services or products to enhance client experience and satisfaction
- Ensure all client records are accurately updated and maintained
- Handle card and cash payments
- Create content of the salon and products for social media
- Check stock levels of products
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
- Basic understanding of tanning treatments
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Flexibility to work during salon hours, including weekends
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Being comitted to the role
- Must be over 18
