Perfect, keep reading. At Code 9 Security we are looking for a Security Patrol and Response Officer who takes real pride in the job: someone who's calm under pressure, sharp in a crisis, and just as comfortable representing us professionally to a client as they are backing up a colleague.
You'll carry out targeted and responsive patrols across a range of client sites: lock-up duties, proactive estate patrols, lone worker support and alarm response. You'll typically be vehicle-based, deploying from Basingstoke, and reporting to the Regional Operations Officer.
We're after someone who inspires respect without needing to raise their voice, professional, level-headed, and able to make sound, proportionate decisions when it counts.
Responsibilities
· Proactively patrol assigned premises, internally and externally.
· Lock up and alarm clients' premises per assignment instructions, ensuring all exits, doors and windows are properly secured.
· Challenge trespassers and facilitate their safe removal, reporting incidents accordingly.
· Respond promptly to support colleagues and react to observed threats or alarm activations.
· Investigate suspicious activity, persons and vehicles of interest, sharing information with colleagues, management and the police as appropriate.
· Maintain accurate, detailed incident records.
· Challenge, apprehend, detain and, where appropriate, arrest suspects; liaise with police to preserve evidence, prepare statements and file reports.
· Assist stakeholders as needed.
· Comfortable working alone and as part of a team.
· Act as an ambassador for the company, on the road and on site.
What you'll need

· Frontline SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision)
· Full UK manual driving licence, no more than 3 penalty points
· Live within a 45-minute drive of Basingstoke
· Fluent in English, with the ability to write clear, accurate reports
· First Aid at Work qualification
· At least one year's experience as a security officer

Shift pattern
4 on, 4 off, averaging 37.5 hours a week, typically 12-hour shifts from 16:00 – 04:00, including weekends and bank holidays.
Vetting and onboarding
As part of our process, you'll need to provide a five-year verifiable employment or education history, a five-year address history and two independent referees who are not family members. You'll also be asked to declare any adverse credit history (CCJs, IVAs, bankruptcies) and complete a 3-month probationary period, meeting training requirements within 6 months. We're unable to accept applicants with unspent criminal convictions.
