Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, supporting students' academic and social development, and implementing tailored teaching strategies. This role involves working with children across various age groups, including early childhood and preschool settings, with a focus on special education needs. The Teacher will utilise their expertise in areas such as speech therapy, applied behaviour analysis, and child development to enhance student learning outcomes. A strong emphasis on communication skills, behaviour management, and mentoring is essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as maths, physical education, and early childhood education.
- Support children with special educational needs through personalised teaching strategies, including speech therapy and applied behaviour analysis techniques.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students requiring extra help in subjects like maths or literacy.
- Assist with Toddler care and preschool activities, ensuring developmental milestones are met through age-appropriate activities.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to monitor progress and tailor educational approaches accordingly.
- Proofread educational materials and resources to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for the target age group.
- Mentor new staff or student teachers by sharing best practices in teaching, behaviour management, and child engagement strategies.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in educational settings such as preschools or early childhood centres is highly desirable.
- Prior involvement in special education or working with children with behavioural challenges using applied behaviour analysis is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to teach core subjects including maths and physical education effectively.
- Experience in speech therapy or tutoring roles that support language development is preferred.
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to manage classroom behaviour professionally are essential for success in this role. Pay: £150.00-£160.00 per day
