Great Cornard Dental Practice is looking for a dental nurse to join their busy practice, on a full-time basis, working 39 hours between Monday to Friday. We would be happy two consider two applicants as a job share.
The hours are 09:30 - 18:30, Monday to Thursday and 09:30 - 17:30 on Friday, with a 1 hour lunchbreak each day. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
The primary responsibility of the role will be to provide clinical support for a wide range of NHS treatments across a broad client base, working alongside the practice principal.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the full range of dental care provided to patients, from supporting with routine examinations to advanced specialist treatments.
- Welcoming patients and reassuring them of the treatments.
- Providing chair support whilst patients receive treatments, responding quickly to requests.
- Assisting with all aspects of patient dental care and treatment including check-ups to fillings, x-rays to decontamination.
- Preparing and mixing dental materials.
- Maintaining and updating patient records.
- Stock control.
- Reassuring patients, responding to individual patient needs.
- Undertaking reception duties when required e.g., greeting service users, answering the telephone, making appointments, explaining service user charges and collecting service user charges.
- Liaising with the practice principal to maintain the effective running of the dental practice.
To be considered for this position, you will need the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Essential:
- Dental Nursing Level 3 qualification.
- Current GDC registration.
- CPD to be up to date.
- Previous experience as a dental nurse.
- Friendly, reliable, understanding individual.
